Improving trash cans in San Antonio, Texas

Another successful metroSTOR project has been completed in San Antonio, Texas.

After speaking with David Newman, City of San Antonio TX Solid Waste Director, we understood they had a need to upgrade their current trash & recycling enclosures downtown. When they contacted us, they had basic trash cans with little to no signage, and although they provided enough volume, they were having major challenges with people scavenging, stealing the liners and breaking off the rain hoods. 

We opted for no lid trash cans with restricted openings to help guide trash and recycling into the container whilst reducing rummaging, and also used custom wraps to ensure correct usage and improve aesthetics. The new metroSTOR RC Series units have now been installed by the theatre near the convention centre, and we look forward to hearing updates on how this project has improved the streets and trash collection in San Antonio.
