New Trash Enclosures Installed to Support Cleaner Streets in Downtown Long Beach
Long Beach, CA
Eight new trash enclosures have been installed across Downtown Long Beach, a lively waterfront district known for its historic neighborhoods, cultural venues and year-round visitor activity. The units are designed to improve street cleanliness and support the city’s efforts to reduce litter and encourage proper waste disposal.
The installation uses RCF-Series enclosures that house 35-gallon carts. These secure enclosures help prevent can-diving while maintaining a clean, coordinated streetscape. All eight units feature Downtown Long Beach Alliance branding on the front and sides, with custom graphic wraps on the rear panels celebrating local identity:
The RCF-Series ideal for high-foot-traffic areas such as Downtown Long Beach. metroSTOR worked closely with the Downtown Long Beach Alliance to ensure the units support both operational needs and neighborhood character. The clean-space design allows for consistent signage and strong visual messaging around trash, recycling and compost. Who knew a trashcan could be so aesthetically pleasing?
Stretching from the Queen Mary to Shoreline Village and the Aquarium of the Pacific, Downtown Long Beach is home to more than 180 restaurants and one of Southern California’s most walkable entertainment districts. Whether you’re strolling Pine Avenue at night or exploring the galleries in East Village, these new enclosures can now help ensure the streets remain as welcoming and well-kept as the city itself.
