metroSTOR Partners with NYCHA on a New Pilot Scheme

We’re thrilled to be partnering with the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) Sustainability Team on a new waste containerization pilot at Wagner Houses — helping create a cleaner, safer environment for residents while making recycling simpler and more convenient.

The pilot focuses on easy-access, clearly marked waste and recycling stations located outside each block, designed to encourage recycling at source and reduce litter, pests, and illegal dumping.

Keith Grossman, SVP for Operations Support Services at NYCHA, shared, “We’re excited to pilot these new collection stations to give residents clean and convenient containers, reduce waste outside buildings, and cut down on pest issues.”
