metroSTOR Partners with NYCHA on a New Pilot Scheme
We’re delighted to be partnering with New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) on a pilot scheme to demonstrate that the provision of infrastructure on proven `path of least resistance’ principles underpins recycling behaviour change with safer, cleaner neighbourhoods.
Keith Grossman, SVP for Operations Support Services at NYCHA commented, “As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain waste and pest free NYCHA developments, we are excited to pilot these new trash & recycling collection stations. The ultimate goal is to offer residents clean and convenient containers for waste leading to a reduction in refuse outside our buildings, while minimizing potential attraction for pests and reducing staff time required for collection.”
Look out for data over the next few weeks showing how much we’ve been able to increase recycling and reduce vermin and illegal dumping.
